Another excellent dessert recipe with peanut butter. I thought our last recipe was amazing, but this one is even better if that’s possible. Everyone in the house raved about these brownies! My mom said it’s the best dessert I’ve made yet, and she’s a chocolate connoisseur🍫
If you haven’t noticed, I love peanut buttery desserts. Always have. I also have a husband who loves peanut butter as well, so the kids and I wanted to surprise him with a special treat. After all, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach (but I also knew I’d get to enjoy these too, so really…win-win).
The kids always jump at the chance to help me bake. They also love to steal the chocolate during the process, but it doesn’t matter. They enjoy it and we have fun. It also counts as part of our math lesson for the day, which is probably part of the reason I love baking so much! It teaches kids so much without feeling like work.
Here’s a brief rundown in order to see how easy this recipe is:
A few simple ingredients is all it takes to make this awesome dessert. I bought the Ghiradelli 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate chips. Perfect for the ganache.
Whip up the fudge brownie mix and bake the brownies:
While the brownies are baking, combine the ingredients for the homemade peanut butter mixture:
After the brownies are done and out of the oven, top with the peanut butter mixture:
Make the ganache by adding heavy cream into the chocolate chips and melting the mixture:
Drizzle ganache on top and put them in the fridge:
They are perfect once thoroughly chilled. Delicious and very hard to resist!
