Yes, you heard right. Reese’s stuffed chocolate chip cookies. Sounds delicious, right? Well, they are.
I love baking and with the holidays coming up soon, I started looking into new recipes. We usually make chocolate chip cookies with walnuts each year, but I wanted to try something new. This weekend, I gave the kids a few dessert recipes to choose from and they wisely chose this one. Aside from the fact that my 4-year-old decided to steal a quarter of the bag of Reese’s and eat them while we were unwrapping them, they were so easy to make. (Side Note: If you have any young children who love chocolate, you may want to keep them out of the room while making these.)
I have never used mini chocolate chips before this recipe. I’m now a fan. For some reason, I like them better than the usual size. These cookies come up nice and big since there is a delectable Reese’s peanut butter cup baked in the middle. This is my new favorite type of chocolate chip cookie (thanks Crazy for Crust)! I’ll be making these again very soon.
You’ll probably find that you have most of the ingredients on hand:
1 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
About 28 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures, unwrapped
